I'm just sitting here with Bailey, singing Lady Gaga (Gaga-gag me, i know) but I just got me thinking... Why is is some of the most trashy people have such catchy songs? I mean seriously, have you ever thought about it? I mean you've got homegirl up there singing about being drunk at a club, losing her keys, and losing her phone, but it's all good because she's there to "Just Dance." I mean really, you know you know the words.
There is a band called 3oh!3 and I love them, and they put on awesome shows live, but come on! Their lyrics aren't always the best, and I know that, but dang! All those catchy melodies...
I think that people today don't pay attention to the words of anything anymore, not just in music or lyrics, but in everyday things. It's all about the look and how it sounds to you and what you think others will think... It kinda concerns me, because it just shows how we're all slipping into materialism more and more each day... I have found this out more recently and, yes, I have been one to look at the meanings of everything (but not always), but it's hard to do sometimes because the ugly truth is hiding behind a beautiful wrapping... I know that I have to learn to look beyond the glittery, shiny, wrapping paper, and constantly remind myself of it.

We the Kings is from and still lives in Bradenton FL, and are always going to Orlando and to the beaches. On this blog, you get to know the real Travis Clark, and let me tell you he's HILARIOUS! He updates regularly and I think that yall will get a good laugh out of some of his posts.

Summer Thoughts
This is my first blog here on blogspot, but my first post is one that i've pulled off my myspace, but I really think that it still really needs to be shared...
Over this summer I've been working alot with children and i've been traveling to do so. Whether it's a plane ride to another country, or a ten minute drive accross town. I really feel that God has put a calling on my life to work with children. And ya know what? I still think that it's amazing that he picked me to do some thing so life changing for so many kids. I just finished reading the first book in a triliogy by Ted Dekker (Black) and it has shown me that no matter what we think is possiable or impossiable no matter how owrth or unworthy we think we are God always has a plan that will amaze. Whether it be changing one life, or like Thomas Hunter in the book, changing the world. Something I really try to teach the kids I work with is the same verse that was taught to me by my totally amazing youth pastor, and that is 1 Tim. 4:12 "Don't let anyone look down on you because of your youth, but be examples to the believers in faith, love, trust, purity, and in word." and yeah it's a Tiffany paraphrase. But anyways, another thing that I've really been stweing on here lately is the fact it is totally human to shy away from our faith when we are surrounded by non believers. We, yes, I included, need to always have on our minds that we are in this world and don't need to be of it. In the book, Black, Hunter is face with the fact that even though he is'nt a christian and isn't exactally sure he even believes in God, he is give these "dreams" that are of the "future" and what happend to the world when it was consumed by evil becase of people being so consumed by the ways of the world that they are willing to put the lives of every person on earth, because they don't believe in a divine power. I don't want to tell you anymore because I want you to read the book, but I'm using it to prove a point. I was able to open a gift my father has given me this summer, and we all have one. You might get it at some random time, but you will get it if you are willing and when you open it...wow you'll be suprized and insanely happy!
