2010

THIS IS INSANE!!
haha, I just can't believe that 2009 is ending! I'm turning 18 on Sunday, Graduating in June, and starting classes as a full time college student in the fall... This is all just too weird... It's fun, but absolutely nuts!
I spent all this morning filling out scholarship stuff, and I'm just really hoping that they come through.
Another thing that I think is gonna be a challenge this year is my choice for the fast... yep, Tiffany is going vegetarian. :)
It should be interesting for me because, let me tell you, this homegirl is a carnevour!! That and the fact that I live with Curtis VanOrder, king of eating all thigs that can be killed and cooked. Haha ;)
I thought I knew my path in the college world, but in all the praying and thinking I've been doing, I'm not so sure anymore. There are so many things I would LOVE to do, but I know I'm not the most motovated person God ever created...ha! :) I know this is kinda a wait and see thing, but I am just too impaient, and I know what can happen if you pray for more. :) haha
AAAHHH!!!! Also, I'm going to HEAVY AND LIGHT on January 9th!!! I'm sooooo stoked!! It's a concert put on by the To Write Love On Her Arms foundation. TWLOHA is an orgnization that funds different types teen suicide prevention organizations. They partner up with bands (Whom most are Christian such as The Almost and The Rocket Summer) through out the year for different fundraisers, but Heavy and Light is the biggest and is only at the House Of Blues in Orlando. They sell tee shirts online and the profit goes to different places to help stop teen suicide in America.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! :)

Most you yall know what tomorrow is!
Haha! Well I'm very excited about it. I love the books, and I liked the first movie. The only problem I have with anything Twilight is the fact that people that once made fun of me and my friends for being into it are now LOVING it and act as if they've known about it all along. I just have to say that I was one of the few that had to wait a year or longer between each book, and I have always loved Stephanie Meyer.

But more so than that, is the fact that people out there that are in the "Church" are pulling people like me that love these books down and are acting like is the biggest sin. Well I don't persecute them for liking Harry Potter or LOTR. Which yes, I do enjoy those as well, but still! I think that it's rediculous that people are so self-rightous and hypocritical that they can call you out, but it's okay for them to like something that is just as bad or worse when it comes to a biblical stance. I think that Twilight is great, and so are HP and LOTR, but I know where I stand in my faith and I know when something isn't right. This is why I don't watch cirtain shows anymore, I used to love to watch Supernatural, but it got to the point where watching it just made my spirit aware that something there was demonic. I don't know about you, but I think that if a man is willing to keep his virginity for 110 years for merriage, I think that's pretty awesome. While yes, there are other things I don't agree with, overall I think it's harmless.

aww man...

My Michelle is going to be leaving for Flagler... sad panda, for sure!! I'm going to miss her so much I don't know what I'm going to do! I know that it's only like three hours away, but it's not like she's only ten minutes away either... She's my best friend, EVER, and wow, it kinda stinks. I know that It'll all work out in the end and we'll stay in touch, but you know...bleck...
Here's a picture of the most awesome trio EVER! haha-Michelle, David, and I!
It's a new tradition, any time the three of us are together we're going to take a trio picture...

WARPED TOUR 2009!

I went to Warped Tour Friday, and let me tell you, I don't think that i've ever had so much fun! It was an all day event (9:30-6) out at the Central Florida Fair Grounds. It was soo cool to be able to walk around and check out all my favorite bands, and even chill with them in their merch tents. I got to be front and center to one of my MAJORLY fave bands... Sing It Loud! I was right up to the bar, and directly infront of the lead singer Pat Brown! Later, I got to meet him and Nate Flynn the AMAZING bassist. I didn't realy get to chat with Pat, but Nate was really cool. Durring their set, because of the heat, he was wearing a pair of shorts that the band sells with their logo on them... excapt, these shorts are made for girls... LOL they were really short, but it was all good.

Their stage presence was awesome. I have real respect for a band that can put on a good show and are just genuinely good people. SIL seem to really want to talk with their fans. It was just really cool.

Haha, another person I got to meet again was Kyle Burns from Forever The Sickest Kids. He's such a cutie! FTSK, as always, put on a killer show! They have a new album comming out, and I can't wait!

I also got the pleasure of meeting the lead singer of Ice Nine Kills... I fixed his flip-flop with my hair tie... It was hilarious! He was grateful...lol walking around on hot concrete in floirda in the summer time doesn't feel too good i'm guessing... LOL!
Over all, it was DEFINAELY a good day!

Yeesh...

I'm so excited about my new Bible study group! I'm at my friend Michelle's house right now after the bible study. Although it was just the first night, I know that this is going to be something awesome! It was refreshing to see other girls my age studying God's word together and talking about their opinions freely. We were able to sit there after words and just chill out also. The only person I knew there was Michelle, but that didn't matter, after, we all talked about music and movies and then turn to politics and other scriptures.

One of the things that we discussed and researched tonight was about Obama's new act that is in the process of passing. This act is going to wipe out over 400 other laws and acts controlling abortion. There is not going to be an age limbit that requires parental concent, and if a child is born premature the parent has the option to let it die (most likely by suffocation). I am against abortion, but there are also people that are PROabortion that have written the whitehouse and congress saying that this act is TOO RADICAL.

Now, I know that I'm not a parent or old enough to vote yet, but I can feel in my spirit that this is just the start of something more to come. It may not be in the government, or not have anything to do with Obama, I don't know...but what I do have to say is that I think that there is something wrong with a 12 year old going into an abortion clinic without parental concent. I think that a 12 year old having to be put in that situation is INSANE anyways. It just makes me sick to my stomach to think that this is what the world is...

I know that people have been saying this for a while now, but after walking around a mall and seeing groups of kids my age all hanging out at the mall with strollers filled with babies, i believe it--the flesh is beginning to take us all over. I think that now more than ever us Christians need to really ban together to pray for not only ourselves and our families, but for our world. Not only do we need to pray, but i think that we really need to be the light in the the world's darness. For all we know, we are the one thing standing between a person and their biggest mistake. Also, I think that, teens espically, really need to talk to God and spend time in his word and learn about the athority he has given each one of us. This is something that I just discovered on the retreat, and once you know about that athority you can fight anything out there (with God's help of course!)

I know that that was kinda intense for one of my blogs, but hey...it's my current thought... :)

The retreat is awesome this year! I mean, it is every year, but hey, we're living in the now... HAHA!

Today some of us youth went to the St. Agustine outlet malls. I was good and diddn't buy anything that I didn't need. However I did buy some really amazing socks!! They're these super high tube socks from the Van's store and were only $4!

This is Me, Travis and Sarah on the way...

We had a great time today with our new friends Frankie the flamingo and George (Hor-hay. They loved the hot tub! And Lauren too!

My roomies are AMAZING too! I get to room with my best friend ever, Michelle, as well as Nhazingha, and Kaitlyn! Last night Ms. Torrey let us do her hair for her...it got glued! It was great! We used hair glue and at one point it was straight up! Here's a pic of the finished product...

Chillin out?

I'm just sitting here with Bailey, singing Lady Gaga (Gaga-gag me, i know) but I just got me thinking... Why is is some of the most trashy people have such catchy songs? I mean seriously, have you ever thought about it? I mean you've got homegirl up there singing about being drunk at a club, losing her keys, and losing her phone, but it's all good because she's there to "Just Dance." I mean really, you know you know the words.
There is a band called 3oh!3 and I love them, and they put on awesome shows live, but come on! Their lyrics aren't always the best, and I know that, but dang! All those catchy melodies...

I think that people today don't pay attention to the words of anything anymore, not just in music or lyrics, but in everyday things. It's all about the look and how it sounds to you and what you think others will think... It kinda concerns me, because it just shows how we're all slipping into materialism more and more each day... I have found this out more recently and, yes, I have been one to look at the meanings of everything (but not always), but it's hard to do sometimes because the ugly truth is hiding behind a beautiful wrapping... I know that I have to learn to look beyond the glittery, shiny, wrapping paper, and constantly remind myself of it.

Loving This!

As you know, I am a huge We The Kings fan. I recently discovered that Travis Clark is an avid tweeter, as well as has his own blog. We the Kings is from and still lives in Bradenton FL, and are always going to Orlando and to the beaches. On this blog, you get to know the real Travis Clark, and let me tell you he's HILARIOUS! He updates regularly and I think that yall will get a good laugh out of some of his posts.

Just thinking...

< Winston

I was just thinking the other day how awesome my friends are. There is no way I could ever leave them, and I love them so much. Winston is such a nerd, and even though he prank calls me at 3:30 in the morning, I still love him and love hanging out with him, Matt, and Terry at lunch. I get the most random texts from them even though they know I can't reply back. Thanks for being my Conscience Winston!

Jessica is awesome too, although you have to watch out for an extreme mood change every now and then (lol!) she's an awesome person that is almost like a sister in so many ways. She's an amazing concert buddy, and an amazing driver!

We The Kings with Me, Charisty, and Jess >

Tori, without you, I would have never gotten to meet Kyle Burns, Johnathan Cook, and Austin Bello from Forever The Sickest Kids, as well as Cash Collier from The Cab, and Danny Duncan (again) from We The Kings. I miss seeing her at church on friday nights, but don't worry I'll be back soon!

Franklin is the best ipod buddy ever! Actually he has my iPod right now updating me with the newest The Devil Wears Prada cd as well as other stuff that I don't have, but "need to." Me and him had so many good times at Taco Bell after Hi-Q meets in Leesburg. He's also the one that got me into Red Car Wire and Greely Estates.

Joel Hayes, jeeze, "The Scarfather..." My personal advise giver... He is the person that I call when I'm in a tough spot or need anything... One day things will work out and we will go see a movie with everyone that doesn't stink on ice, or go and get coffee and not have to work... I am so thankful that he is there for me.

Sarah and Hannah...The Smith girls. That sould say enough. They are so creative it's sickening, but I love them so much anyways! haha!

I love all of my friends so much and if you're reading this and you're not on it, I'm sorry, But I love you anyways! I'm just so greatful to have each one of you in my life!

Here are the pictures that Tori took of me that I mentioned above...
